Obama is black like me?!?

Postby shotgun » Sat Nov 07, 2009 7:39 pm

I think it is perfectly reasonable for black people to vote for someone of their own family group. (Even though Obama's mother was white, he is still part of the black race covenantally speaking...) He even represents traditional black values. Why NOT vote for him because of his race?

However...I would appreciate the same recognition if I vote for someone simply because they are white...preferably with a Scotch-Irish, protestant background. That way I know he is more likely to have my interests in mind.

America is a consolidated group of nations
...held together by the force of a state...and we fight like dogs and cats over who will take the reigns every election year. No amount of arbitrary re-definition of terms (terms like nation, or race, or family) will change that.

We need to learn to love each other BECAUSE of our respective and unique racial characteristics...not in spite of them. The former honors God's diversity, while the latter is a disgusting attempt to allow political ideals to define a person...(If man is the measure of all things, then man should arbitrarily be able to group people according to his own violent will...nature and family be damned!)

Interesting post, how far into the Spiritual realm do you want to go with it ?

Our battle is not against flesh and blood, but principalities and powers, rulers of the darkness etc in the heavenly's. Racial divisions and the " Arche-types " that control the people groups.

Fascinating study. The kingdom of God vs. The Kingdom of Satan.

America used to be considered a "melting pot" with unique "American values." The American dream, family, liberty (freedom of religion), justice, opportunity, freedom to prosper, and limitted government were the ideals that formed this nation. America has never been perfect, but it did have a "guiding light" that kept it from tyranny and debauchery. That light has been placed under a bowl while everyone invents their own "religion." The lack of Truth and light in secular education has made too many people, who can't see God, look to government for salvation.

Fairness and equality has replaced love and Truth. Well, drug dealers are not equal with hardworking honest men. The promiscuous creating fatherless children are not equal with loving fathers and mothers. The illiterate misguided are not equal with the wise God-fearing virtuous. This is simply part of Nature's laws.

The consequence of being born ignorant in a fallen ignorant world leads to confusion, oppression, injustice, debauchery, and depression. Have we forgotten the Bible? Have Christian leaders convoluted, obfuscated, avoided, and watered down God's word to the point that there is no more understanding in unity on God's definitions of HOW to love family, friends, and neighbors? Are men in the church beaten into submission and turned into wobbly wimps while attempting to be nicer than Jesus?

Well, look closely. Jesus wasn't very nice to the people who were misleading God's chosen people. Jesus made them so angry that they hung him on a cross..... The true men of God can look to Him for salvation and take up our cross as we stand for His Truth and take the arrows coming from the willfully ignorant who prefer comfort over sticking their neck out. What respectable character in the Bible did not stick his neck out. Jer 23:29, We need leaders who will speak against sin, ignorance, and convoluted "grace is all we need" comfort seeking preachers. There is a way, there is the Truth, and there is love for the King of His kingdom. His way stands for the Truth about love, virtue, wisdom, justice, and mercy. His way leads to happiness and contentment, even while in the fire of persecution. Who will take up the cross and lead others to our Father in heaven?

We can have "diversity" in America, but without salt (an underlying foundation built on the Ten Commandments) our posterity will be enslaved to the ungodly wisdom of man that guides our smarter-than-everyone-else professors and politicians. That is just Nature's law, a natural consequence of rejecting the God of the Bible...

Well, the Scripture says men are to choose a "brother" as rulers, so I guess it's a reasonable conclusion.

I would disagree with that. We should not address racial parameters to anyone who is running for any kind of position. I would like to see a "voting test"that pertains to the issues, to all who want to vote. Many people today vote on personal bias and have no idea of what they are voting for and how it pertains to our Constitution or political processes. Their votes based on race, national lineage, sex, visual acceptance (He looks better on TV) is not a sufficient attribute to elect the best candidates and not take the opinions of "Ophra".:OldDad/Quote

Do you agree that man...if given enough time and intelligence...will eventually create the best possible political system; and peace and harmony will reign in the land as a result?

Is the state our savior afterall?

Or will the family win out in the end?

Will family bonds prove stronger than the fiat declaration of man?

Blacks in America hate whites. Look at the news, read the papers, watch TV and use some common sense. As with everything, there are exceptions. But exceptions don't change the will of a race.

I read these posts and can't believe how y'all have your heads in the sand. They use our system of democracy against us. Look at college football. Need more be said? They won't debate because they can't. They always intimidate whites.

They will not admit that over 500,000 whites died for their "freedom" in the Civil War. I'm too tired to go on...but look carefully around you and stop using dogma. God gave us a brain to use, to question; not to be a record player (broken).

You're the only one that I've read that is normal and has sense...that uses it. You're right, it is "brotha". I just love "ebonics", don't you?
