Will America Follow England into Oblivion?

Postby GaryDeMar » Wed Nov 04, 2009 8:50 am

The British government is in the process of deChristianizing this once Christian nation. While they are doing this, they are opening the door to Muslim extremists in the name of religious tolerance. By capitulating to the homosexual lobby and undermining the Christian foundation of England, in time Islam will gain the ascendancy and will wipe out the infidels. And when I say "wipe out," I mean literally wipe out.

Christianity has saved Europe from Islam and moral decadence. Once Christianity is removed, nothing will stop the advance of moral decline and the rise of a militant Islam. This short video is frightening. The passage of hate crime legislation recently does not bode well for Christianity in America.

Hmmm... British government deChristianizing? Consider these two points.
1. The "Christianity" they are rejecting isn't worth its salt, anyway. Christianity has simply fallen away. Even the unchurched can see through the phoniness and hypocrisy.
2. The "Christians" in my neighborhood can't stomach the Truth. They are unregenerate, having been raised under 30 hours of secular education per week and 2 hours of "Christian" instruction per week.

When the Truth is inadequately taught and unproven in the hearts of men, humility departs and each does what is right in their own eyes. "Do not judge" becomes the response to correction.

Mt. 19:29. This verse can be understood when one applies it to a new believer leaving an Islamic family. However, in my circumstances it may apply to me and my "Christian" family. We are called to love and teach, but the effort to teach runs into "Do not judge" therefore my family refuses to teach (stand for the Truth and encourage others) and they don't appreciate my efforts to teach them. "I'm okay, your okay, all is well" is the norm. I can't break through. I have also failed to make Christian friends in churches one day a week, even with an extra day at an evening Bible study. I must be in a very dark place. I have considered leaving, but I don't know where to go to find honest, loving, wise Christians.

The Truth is a great benefit to mankind, but the Truth left unspoken is no benefit at all. Christian leadership has failed to teach to the full, and failed to renew the minds of unregenerate men. Too many generations have been left behind. How do we turn the hearts of the fathers back to their children. God is love, but love without His Truth is not love at all (Ex 20:5 Iniquitous fathers naturally raise iniquitous offspring).

Where are the fathers who want to love, lead, teach, provide for, and protect their children? No one else loves your family more than you do. If you don't lead your family and children, their peers will do it. If you don't teach, the government schools will do it. If you don't provide for your family a government program will be created to do it. If you don't protect your children, the government may come along and protect your children from you, especially if you try to "indoctrinate" your children in God's Truth.

Love God first, seek His kingdom, and He will teach you how to love family, friends, and neighbors while boldly speaking the Truth with other wise loving Christians. Eze 3:18. We need unity on the simple Truth and we need fearless wise leadership in order to present an understandable simple Gospel of His kingdom and love. Perhaps then we could bring our country and our churches to repentance. His kingdom is near. It is not far away. It can be found.

Thomas Jefferson said that freedom must be regularly refreshed with the blood of patriots and tyrants! From what I'm seeing of Christian society's collapse, I believe him completely. Does anyone besides me think it's time for serious "refreshing" in the USA?

Absolutely! Time for refreshing, but to do that WE NEED A VISION! "We" means FATHERS need a vision. Government is not God and it CANNOT TAKE THE PLACE OF RESPONSIBLE LOVING FATHERS AND MOTHERS.

The Bible defines the role of parents and it is the foundation of wise, loving, COMPITENT parenting. But parents and the clergy have allowed the government to create a curriculum in their government schools that has TOTALLY ABOLISHED THE TRUTH ABOUT LOVE, WISDOM, COMMON SENSE, AND COMMON DECENCY. Now we have parents incapable of standing on the Truth that underlies civilized society and we have weak clergy who refuse to preach in a manner that clearly obliterates the nonsense in government schools and disfunctional families.

I repeat, the last three or four generations have not been empowered with a vision of the Truth about love, virtue, wisdom, justice, and courageous faith. Therefore, to "refresh the government" with the least amount of blood, WE NEED GOD AND HIS TRUTH TO PREVAIL IN THE BATTLE, othewise we may wind up with something worse than the advance of godless socialism.

It falls in the lap of Christian leaders.... They must teach the Truth about love compitently and fearlessly. God (love) hates sin and ignorance, but His Word is good news. The Gospel of the kingdom of God is a good thing. It restores man to a love and knowledge of righteousness, civility, compassion, and education (renewal of the mind). The unregenerate in the streets AND IN GOVERNMENT need a correction. Only when fathers know their role, are allowed to take it back, and are courageously capable of standing on it and doing it, will we succeed in being THE LIGHT FOR THE LOST.

We don't need a father in government! We need a Father in heaven, which is "within you," IN YOUR HEART AND MIND!!!! Lk 17:21NIV A father who has the Father within him is a wise, loving, capable, and compassionate father. He is slow to anger, but when nonsense and evil threatens the lives and hearts of his loved ones, you will see the fire in his eyes as he proceeds to protect and teach his loved ones. Lk 22:36

Fatherlessness and crime is a scourge devouring our country.... Hmmmm... ponder the fact that Obama did not have a Godly father taking care of him and teaching him.... Barak believed the socialist lies and the niave utopia fed to him by the godless elite in higher education and by his niave confused mother..

Come on, clergy! Wake up! You have got to picture it in your mind, Mt 5:8. What would this country look like with wise, loving, compitient, and courageous fathers? And mothers!

Will America follow England? It appears to take about 200-300 years for a nation to self-destruct after that nation formally replaces the law of God with its own manmade legal system. Ancient Israel is a case in point.

After the apostasy of Solomon, rebellion began in earnest in 931 B.C. when Jeroboam set up his two golden calf idols. There was a formal rewriting of the legal code in the reign of Omri, just a quarter century after Jeroboam. God complains of this to Micah (6:16) and pronounces judgment in terms of it:

The statutes of Omri and all the works of the house of Ahab are observed; and in their devices you walk. Therefore, I will give you up for destruction…."

Religious forms were preserved to pacify and deceive the people and no doubt also with the vain hope of appeasing God. Prosperity prevailed for awhile, which had a further stupifying effect. The man on the street thought things at the top must be pretty good, since the economy was doing well. But God was not mocked. Israel was carried into judgment by Assyria in 721 B.C., 210 years after Jeroboam came to the throne.

We see a similar pattern in England, with America not far behind. The 17th Century is called the Century of Revolution, not just for its wars, but for its radical shift in worldview. In 1600 men thought and spoke in Biblical categories, but by the end of the century the modern, secular spirit prevailed. This paved the way for the Age of Reason.

After the Puritan Revolution and the Solemn League and Covenant were cast away, the Glorious Revolution of 1689 gave England a Secular Bill of Rights in which Parliament was declared primary sovereign, under secondary sovereigns, William & Mary, both Protestants. God was given a cordial tip of the hat. Such a religiously neutral government, will eventually eject Christianity, as we see in Britain today.

In America, colonial constitutions were emphatic in covenanting with the God of the Bible. However, America replaced the law of God with the "statutes of Omri" in the Constitution of 1787. "We the people" were declared the sovereign grantors of governing authority instead of God. The Constitution declared itself – not the Bible – to be "the supreme law of the land." And any requirement that the officeholder be required to swear allegiance to God or His law was outlawed (Art VI, Sec. 3).

200+ years later we stand on the precipice of Divine judgment. We will most certainly follow in the footsteps of England, and for the same reason. Our only hope is that 1) Christians forsake their idolatrous worship of the United States Constitution and that 2) pastors begin to exhort and instruct local civil magistrates (like Calvin & Knox).
