As someone who made some decisions early in life that then required that I work AND send my children to public school, I learned much later on that I had been foolish, myopic, and selfish. As time went on, I was at least able to stay at home with my youngest children until they went to school, hopefully providing them with a good foundation of nurturing and regular worship to help them combat the opposing forces in the public schools.
I have seen each of my five children grow up with distinct worldviews. Because I had been shortsighted in the past, I am now trying, by God's grace, to show them the importance of having a Biblical worldview. Of course, it would have been SO much better for them to have been prepared for this from an earlier age, but I'm doing what I can to demonstrate righteous behavior and show its benefits to them all. Each of my children seem to be absorbing and responding to God's mercy and grace in their own unique ways.
If I had it to do over, I would most definitely either homeschool or send my children to private school. But then, hindsight has ALWAYS been 20-20.
