Service

Has anyone else been following the push for service from the Obama administration? They White House has been working with the media to get its message out about service. Of course they want national service in specific organizations they approve of. You will not find conservative organizations under the 'where can I serve' areas on the websites. You might find Planned Parenthood, extreme environmentalist sites, or ACORN like organizations. See here for an article about service,

I was showing someone how media changes peoples perception and that it is done on purpose. I was trying to point out that things like the number of homosexuals on tv shows is not spontaneous and uncoordinated. I had used the EIF memo mentioned in the articles as an example coordination. Well I found a few more examples in Sunday’s paper of a top down, coordinated push for 'service'.

I just find all this interesting after the National Endowment for the Arts was busted for coordinating efforts witht he White House.
