Wisdom Keepers- rise of spiritualism.

Due to the decline of God's Truth in America's churches and culture, we find the rise of competing belief systems. Competing worldviews arising out of the personal beliefs of individuals. These "new" spiritual beliefs come from the one who masquerades as light, and much light is given to the leaders in these "spiritual movements."

On this forum, I have advocated the kingdom of God rising in our hearts in the fullness of simple Truth and ...

For shotgun

Hey, others are welcome as well.
Ok, from our discussions, it appears that your basic argument for the christian world view is:

1. By assuming God we can have certainty about reason, induction our experiences etc
2. Therefore God

Or from the reverse,
1. The assumptions of all other worldviews beside christianity lead to uncertainty.
2. Therefore, christianity is true.

Is this basicly it, ro would do you object to something?

Eph 6:12 and enemies of the Truth

Scipture confirms scripture, therefore we must consider all scripture when trying to comprehend individual verses, for example Mt 7:1 must be understood according to all scripture. There is a book in the Bible called "Judges" in which the judge judges and teaches the people, also consider 1Co 6:2,3.

But that is another topic, this thread is about:
Eph 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, ...

A New Kind of God

As we continue through Brian McLaren’s new book, A New Kind of Christianity, we now come to his third question that is “transforming the faith.” This question concerns the seeming contradiction between the God that we read about in the Old Testament (OT) and the Jesus that we find in the New Testament (NT). It is often pointed out (usually by skeptics) that the “OT god” seems to be terribly bloodthirsty and sadistic, seeking to ...

A Quick Response to Bosse on TAG

Brian Bosse argues against Bahnsen and Van Til's claim to certainty. (See his essay here: http://www.christianlogic.com/images/up ... VanTil.pdf) Here are some off-the-top-of-my-head observations:

He presents 3 arguments (and alludes to a 4th) that attempt to disprove the claim that TAG provides certainty.

(1): TAG is a deductive argument. Bahnsen points out in his debate with Sproul that deductive arguments can never be certain.

Bosse is saying that man can ...

A shock to a Christian worldview?

The forum seems quiet following the health care vote on Sunday. Are we in shock?

Is the government take over of health care a Christian worldview?

What is going to be the method for implimenting this 2700 page bill? The IRS will hire 16000 new employees.

Have the ruling elite gone too far? Is this enough to wake up America's pastors, churches, and fathers? Have Christians finally realized that 80 years of comprimising with statists ...

Who is the Top Presupper?

I came up with a list of Presuppers. When I first started studying apologetics, I could not for the life of me find a list like this...(and believe me, I wanted one badly.) At any rate, maybe this will help someone? And by all means, if I leave someone out...please let me know:

(1): Van Til! - The late, great theologian himself. The Father of presuppositional apologetics. Although, he's hard to read if you're a ...

I made a mistake...

As a wanna-be Presuppositionalist, I'm sure that I have made many mistakes in my past apologetic endeavors.

Most likely, I'll never realize them until I read over old writings years later.

I can, however, correct the ones that I realize now. So I'd like to publically acknowledge that I made a blunder, and correct myself.

In the thread: "Atheist Presuppositions" I attempted to provide Mr. Simplelife with a simple argument for God's existence. I was ...

A New Kind of Authority

In A New Kind of Christianity, author Brian McLaren claims that there are ten questions that are transforming the modern Christian faith. We discussed the first question last week, so we will move on to the second one this week, which is the question of authority or how the Bible is to be understood. In reality, this second question is nothing more than a continuation of the first (the question of narrative), and the three ...
