Member Conduct & Etiquette

Statement of Faith: 1-1 First and foremost, there will be no debating over the existence of God. The operating presupposition in these forums is and always will be "In the beginning God." Jesus is God and Son of God and Holy Spirit and the three are one and the same. There will be no debating over anything related to this. God is the only God and Christianity is the only true religion. There is only one way for Salvation and that is through faith in Jesus Christ and His saving grace. The entire Bible is God's Word and is truth. All are welcome to join and learn and ask questions about this wonderful truth, but anything deviating from the furthering of a Christian Worldview will not be tolerated.; Top

What Kind of Christian Forum?: 1-2 This is not a Roman Catholic Church forum. This is not a Protestant Church forum. This is not an Orthodox Church forum. This is not "insert your church here" forum. This is a Christian forum. Because of that, those members who are Christians are part of the church. We do not derive our understanding from a Church but as a church we derive our understanding from God and as a body of believers. Unless a discussion is directly dealing with doctrinal issues of various churches there will be no claims about true Churches. They have doctrinal differences and those should be handled as such, but to claim one church as being the Church will not be tolerated in any type of discussion outside of one dealing specifically about doctrinal differences.; Top

Harassment: 1-3 No flaming or name calling. Harassment or abuse directed towards anyone will not be tolerated. Be respectful of other posters. This applies to ALL users, regardless of post count, forum rank or perceived status at The Christian Worldview Forum. Communicating on a message board is different from face-to-face communication. Only the words are seen, not your facial expressions or tone of voice. Please pay careful attention to how you use your words. Don't attack individuals.; Top

Profanity and False Information: 1-4 You will not use this bulletin board to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise a violation of any law. Attempts to circumvent the profanity filters will not be tolerated either. Use your common sense.; Top

Spamming and Advertisements: 1-5 No spamming, period. Advertisements and solicitations are inappropriate on these message boards. Any such messages will be removed at the discretion of either a forum moderator or administrator.; Top

ALL CAPS: 1-6 No SHOUTING. It's rude and annoying. Typing in ALL CAPS may result in your post being deleted. Same applies for AlTeRnAcApS. Please keep in mind that the reason you are posting is so that others can read what you have written. Therefore, we ask our members not to use excessively formatted text and to keep fonts to a reasonable size that are easy to read.; Top

Use of Correct Forums: 1-7 Post to the correct forum and only that forum. Do not post Who Should I (Start/Trade/Draft/Pick Up, etc.) type questions on the regular forums. Please use the "Help" board for any and all team management questions.; Top

Fraudulent Material: 1-8 Members who knowingly post fake or fraudulent news articles will have their their posts removed and account deleted.; Top

Double Posting / Time Between Posts: 1-9 Do NOT post more than one reply in a row within the same thread. There is a character limit of 3500 for a reason. That's two double-spaced pages with Times New-Roman font or one sing-spaced page. If you can's fit your thoughts within that space it is too long. This community is set up to encourage discussion. There is an online phrase -- too long; didn't read (or tl;dr) -- that's what most people think of long posts. They don't care to read that much.; Top

Link/URL Usage: 1-10 Do not post just a link. Links have context - expound upon that context. Give some background on what the link is to, or better yet, comment on the substance of the link. This way, it's not just a link and run. Remember: the reader's interest is not only in the link, it's in what you have to say about it, how you make sense of what would otherwise be a blind link (and a subsequent poor thread).; Top

Copy and Paste: 1-11 Copy and Paste is ONLY OK when it is used for support of your own ideas. It is to be used as a sort of citation to back up your statements. DO NOT use Copy and Paste solely to start a Topic. It may be used but only for support. Any extensive use will get a deleted unless you have first been given permission.; Top

Signatures: 1-12 Signatures may not contain advertisements or links to websites that are not personally yours.; Top

Staying on Topic: 1-13 Stay on Topic. Your post should relate to the original Topic posted (this includes the actual subject line and the content of the original post). Threads do sometimes naturally transition into other discussions, but coming in and posting about a completely different topic in order to start arguments is not okay. Stay on topic, and if you have something different to talk about make your own topic.; Top

Moderation Policy

Staff Member's Obligations: 2-1 The Christian Worldview Forum and its staff are under no obligation to moderate or police these forums. Non-enforcement or failure of strict enforcement of the rules outlined on this page should not be construed as a waiver of rights by The Christian Worldview Forum. We will moderate only when deemed necessary and at our sole discretion.; Top

Staff Member's Actions: 2-2 The Christian Worldview Forum reserves the right to perform any action which includes, but is not limited to: moving, closing, editing or deleting of any posting, profile, avatar and/or signature for any reason whatsoever at our sole discretion, without prior notification or explanation to the user. Once again, use your common sense, keep your posts in line and you'll be fine.; Top

Issues with Moderating: 2-3 Moderation actions are not up for debate or public scrutiny. Any topics or posts intended to question moderator actions (whether justified or not) will be closed/deleted and the member will be dealt with severely, usually leading up to suspension or removal from the boards permanently.; Top

Moderation Questions: 2-4 If you have a question/problem regarding a moderator action, send an email to the moderator or adminstrator. Abusive emails sent to moderators/adminstrators will result in severe consequences to the sender.; Top

Banning/Warnings: 2-5 Do not involve yourself in arguments or flaming threads with other members. Opinions will inevitably vary amongst the member population on these boards. If you end up saying something you shouldn't have, we/ll have no choice but be forced to suspend/remove you. Many previously banned members have come to regret what they have said in these situations and there is nothing we can do for them after the fact. If you see others bashing/fighting, report the post to us, do not let your emotions consume you. Do not involve yourself and risk your account.; Top

Being Respectful: 2-6 Please be respectful when interacting with our forum moderators and administrators. They all work to make this a better place for free.; Top

Account Policy

One Account Per Person: 3-1 Each forums member is limited to one account/username/alias, unless otherwise authorized by a Forum Administrator.; Top

Additional Accounts: 3-2 Creating additional accounts while under suspension or under review will automatically result in all accounts being banned permanently, even if you're later discovered to be not at fault.; Top

Impersonating: 3-3 Do not impersonate other individuals or falsely represent yourself. Creating multiple accounts for the purposes of impersonating others or misrepresenting yourself will result in all accounts being banned.; Top

Username Advertising: 3-4 Usernames may not contain website addresses (urls) or anything resembling an advertisement.; Top

Personal Information: 4-1 Do not post personal information (i.e. addresses, phone numbers, passwords, or any other private information).; Top

Copyright: 4-2 Observe all copyright laws when posting copyrighted material. If the material does not belong to you, do not post (cut & paste) the full article/text on The Christian Worldview Forum's board without permission. Post only the introductory paragraph then credit the source/author and link to the article. Posting articles from other sources in their entirety is a violation of our Posting Guidelines. If you do so, your thread and account will be deleted.; Top

Spam: 4-3 Do not spam or send unsolicited emails or private messages to other members. We will enforce the United States CAN-SPAM Act of 2004 against spamming of our users. Any spam received will be forwarded to the proper authorities and may result in severe civil liability up to and including criminal prosecution. If you are a minor, a parent/guardian will generally be liable.; Top

Pornography: 4-4 Do not post pornography or links to pornography or obscene materials of any form here.; Top

Pyramid Schemes / Chain Letters: 4-5 No posting, PM/ing or linking of pyramid schemes, chain letters or hit/tag games.; Top

Illegal Materials: 4-6 Do not post direct links to any illegal materials, including but not limited to: illegal software, viruses, worms, trojans, spyware, unauthorized music or video files, etc.; Top

Slander / Libel: 4-7 Do not post slanderous, libelous, or other untrue statements about anyone on these boards. The Christian Worldview Forum does not monitor these boards closely for such content and we hereby disclaim all liability associated with these types of postings on our board. If you feel someone has made false statements about you that do not fall under "fair comment", please use the "Report Post" feature to report these posts to us. Members posting such materials may face criminal prosecution. If you are a minor, a parent/guardian will generally be liable.; Top
