I have never heard of the compelling arguments you made for the Great Tribulation being the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple, and not a cataclysmic future event. It was absolutely fascinating and I look forward to hearing anyone try to refute the conclusions you 've made.

My 16 year old daughter, husband and myself just completed End Times Fiction by Gary DeMar. Wow what truth can do! Our eyes were opened and our hearts enlightened. Thank you Mr. DeMar for this book. My husband went on to read Last Days Madness once again he was soaking up the truths laid out in Scripture and Gary's book. Two questions we would like to ask are: Can you recommend a Bible that supports a preterist point of view? and secondly what churches in the U.S. are doctrinally sound being of this persuasion? Let me begin by saying, from the bottom of my heart, a very sincere "Thank You." I grew up in a Baptist church where I was taught eschatology from a Premillennial Dispensational perspective. Upon graduating from high school I attended what was at the time known as Philadelphia College of Bible (now Philadelphia Biblical University), the school founded by C.I. Scofield. I sat under the teaching in several doctrine courses under Charles C. Ryrie, John R. Master and Wesley Willis. Needless to say I was well grounded in this school of thought. It was only after graduating and moving to North Carolina (and several years later) that I begin to study prophecy and escahtology afresh and anew. I tried to set aside any thing that I had been taught (though almost impossible) and to approach the subject with an open mind. I now, through much study time, prayer and God's grace have become convinced that the Scriptures teach a Postmillennial view of the return of Christ and that much of biblical prophecy has already been fulfilled. Thank you for your commitment to the sufficiency of the Scriptures in your works. They have been very beneficial to me in my study.
What kind of counsel would you give me in regards to helping my Pastor, who was also taught under the Premill/Disp. school of thought? Will you be in North Carolina at any speaking engagements any time soon?

I would like to thank each of you at American Vision for the wonderful work that you are doing. I am a 23 yr old husband and father. In addition to my family responsibilities, I have the pleasure of working as a part-time pastor with youth and their families. While growing up I was exposed to the pessimistic and dispensational teachings that are still harming our churches today. Over the last few years, the Lord has used many godly people and writings to open my eyes to the optimism found within His Word. I feel as though I have been liberated from a bondage of unbiblical pessimism. So, I say "thank you" for your ministry.
Your ministry is deeply needed. As evidence of this fact I would like to tell you about an encounter that I had yesterday. While sitting in a waiting room, an older lady (who knows my wife) asked I was planning on being a missionary. I told her that I didn't have any plans to be a foreign missionary at this time. I then began to talk about the ministry that the Lord placed me in currently. During our conversation I spoke about my hope for a glorious future of God's kingdom. When I finished speaking, she said, "There is no future! Jesus is coming any day from now. I've been studying prophecy for the last 30 yrs, and I know He is coming soon. I don't know the exact day, but I do know it will be soon." I was stunned! No future! As I sat there is silence, I became painstakingly aware of the damaging implications her view. Even worse is the fact that she is not alone in her view. Yet, I am not discouraged because I know that the tides are changing. I have had the pleasure of teaching and talking with many parents and youth about the true future of Christianity. I am excited by the work that the Lord is doing in the hearts of many. So, I say to you all, keep up the great work! Please pray for me as I continue to learn and lead others. Also, thanks for offering such a good price on the Prophecy Starter Kit. I am currently saving money to make purchase.
