American Vision Announces New Video Products

Since Friday articles on this website typically serve as ministry updates and announcements, Brandon (Executive Vice-President) asked me to write a brief article about what’s going on and upcoming in the audio/video department (the AV A/V Dept. for those of you who appreciate acronyms).

First of all, the “department” consists of Joseph Darnell and myself. Joseph is the creative, graphically-inclined half, while I serve as the grumpy, nit-picking half. Joseph makes everything look pretty and I make sure it’s spelled write (couldn’t resist a little proofreading humor!). After returning from the 2007 Worldview Super Conference in Asheville, North Carolina, Joseph and I got to work on the two main products that we promised before the event.
The Worldview Training for the 21st Century audio set, and the Age of the Earth and First Amendment debate DVDs that have resulted have been well-received and continue to sell well. We have also decided to try out MP3 downloads directly from the AV website, and the Worldview Training set is the first one that we have made available. You can download the entire series, or simply choose the talks that interest you. We plan to add many more MP3s in the coming months, so keep checking back.

Our newest product, which is due back from the duplicator very soon is Masculine Spiritual Leadership, a much-needed DVD series for men (and families) by Dr. David Hall. Filled with enough alarming statistics and quotes to shock any Christian husband/father about the reality of what Dr. Hall calls the “feminization of the church;” Masculine Spiritual Leadership also offers solutions and practical advice to equip and encourage any man who is concerned enough to make a difference. Speaking of making a difference, Dr. Voddie Baucham is making a big difference everywhere he goes as a speaker and teacher. Dr. Baucham gave two standing-ovation presentations at the 2007 Worldview Super Conference and we are pleased to announce that these hard-hitting talks are almost ready for the shelves. Joseph is putting the finishing touches on these two DVDs as I write this and we hope to send them off to the duplicator early next week. These two lectures were by far the most requested by attendees of the conference and we are sure that you will see why. The Children of Caesar will contain both of the talks and will be available for purchase mid-December. Watch the website for availability. Very little of Dr. Baucham’s teaching exists in video form, so be sure to get your copy early.

Finally, the AV A/V Dept. is currently in the post-production phase of From Terror to Triumph, a 12-15 part series by Dr. Marshall Foster of The Mayflower Institute. Dr. Foster walks the viewer through the last two thousand years of history, as you’ve never heard it before. He grimly sets the stage of each period of history by describing the decay, debauchery, and terror that accompanied each and then shines the light of truth—the triumph—on the very same period from the church’s perspective. Precious little is told of the triumphs of the church militant throughout the pages of history, but Dr. Foster believes it is time to change that. From Terror to Triumph will forever dispel the myth that the church has been getting weaker and weaker since the first century. And in an election year where Christians have very little to be optimistic about, this powerful DVD series will help to focus our attention back to where it needs to be. This set will be available in the spring of 2008.
