American Vision's Radio Ministry Changes Lives

A young man named Ryan recently sent us an email that you must read. Ryan heard The Gary DeMar Show on Sirius Satellite Radio one Saturday afternoon. His life has never been the same since...

Gary,

I came across your weekend radio show a couple months ago while listening to the Christian talk channel on Sirius Satellite Radio. Thank goodness I did because your ministry has changed my life.

When I came across your show you were talking about how all these 'end times' prophecies have already been fulfilled with the destruction of Jerusalem. It all just made so much sense that I felt I had to immediately pull my truck over and beat my head on the steering wheel a couple times because I felt so stupid... how could I have been so naive over all these years?

I was raised with the dispensational premillennial teachings that most Christians are taught from a young age. I read the whole Left Behind series and understood that I'd better be ready for the rapture because the world isn't getting any better. However, the last 6 months have been somewhat of a 'prophetic' journey for me in understanding scripture.  In January, my former roommate told me that the rapture was actually going to happen after the tribulation and I'd better be ready to endure some tough times.  This was a new concept to me and so I looked into it a little and of course, I couldn't find any scripture that said there was going to be a pre-tribulational rapture so I was convinced.

You already see my problem here. I didn't do enough research to find where it talks about a post-trib rapture.  I amassed a nice collection of food, water, gold, diesel fuel, and ammo to get me through these tough times that I knew were coming.  I was checking the news on Steve Quayle's (stevequayle.com) site frantically every day in case I may have to soon high-tail it for the hills and even met with him personally on occasion (since he lives in Bozeman too).

After hearing your show that day I went to your website as soon as I could get my hands on a computer.  Since then, I have read "Last Days Madness" and listened to most of the radio shows you have available for download on your website and have learned a great deal from your ministry.  For that, I thank you and I have already signed up for a monthly donation to help keep you going full steam ahead.

Emails such as these remind us just how vital it is that we continue 'hammering home' the powerful truth about Bible prophecy. We are relentless about correcting the notion that we are living in the "end times" because such thinking becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. Christians expect the world to get worse and do nothing about it. If Christians don't engage culturally and politically, the religious liberties that we cherish will continue to be lost to a vocal minority. What kind of country will your children and grandchildren inherit from us? It's up to you. It's time that we give up the escape hatch of the Rapture and get to work.

If you haven't already, I highly encourage all of you to read Gary's book, Last Days Madness: Obsession of the Modern Church. Imagine what the Church could accomplish if Christians overcame their paralyzing obsession with the "end times" and got to work obeying the Great Commission and the Cultural Mandate found in Matthew 28! It's this Biblical vision that built America and it's this vision that will see her restored once again.
